The oil is great for john deere equipment, it changes the game when use what's recommended and that comes from experience with a 425 that had everyday like logging equipment oil ran in it. When I bought it, I thought I was gonna have to replace the pump,bit wined more than my ex-wife. I bought what was suggested for it and it was an instant transformation with the wineing noise. It litterly stopped as soon as I cranked it. Only draw back is with the deal I got, I only received 6 quarts. My john deere 1992 425 hold (7) quarts, including filter filled not 6 like advertised.
