This filter goes on an Onan 10 KW genset. Removal of the old one showed it to have very little clearance behind it. I used oil filter pliers to get it off. You probably won't have enough clearance to use the standard metal band-type oil filter wrenches. The new filter, although the numbers seem to match, is not quite as tall, so it's easier to install. I prefilled the filter but since it is installed horizontally, I only prefilled it about half-way to help prevent spillage.
